Plan on mud in some places on the paths.

We will begin the evening with a walk at 6 pm – Secret Features of SWNP, led by Jim Frisinger. Next up is time for exploring, visiting and enjoying light refreshments (furnished by Friends of SWNP).  We will end the evening with a Night Hike and Owl Prowl, led by inveterate invertebrate, amphibian, and reptile expert – Michael Smith. The hike will start just before dusk.

We are walkers in our 60’s interested in tonight’s (5/20) event. Can we wear tennis shoes.or are hiking boots required for both walk and hike? Also how strenuous is hike—does it include rock climbing, major hills? Thank you! Barbara Rough or 817.681.1103

You should be fine in tennis shoes. Trails are clearly defined. There is uphill and downhill, but no rock climbing. We will probably run into mud, so you might wear an old pair of shoes and bring a second pair for later. The temps should be nice – please come!
