We are participating in North Texas Giving Day 2019!

This year, on Thursday, September 19, 2019, the Friends of Southwest Nature Preserve will be part of Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day.

During last year’s North Texas Giving Day, we raised almost $1,500.  This is our major fundraiser and we hope you will help us reach our 2019 goal of $2,000

We’ve been busy since last September, and the funds we raised have helped support our activities:

June – Received CLIDE award (Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence) from NCTCOG.
June – Table at Girl Scout Pecan Grove Twilight Camp
April – Hosted and event for City Nature Challenge
March – received a grant from Fort Worth Audubon Society to create a bird-friendly habitat and viewing area near the Pollinator Meadow
February – Hosted a site for the Great Backyard Bird Count
November – Participated in Black Friday alternative, Opt Outside/Nature Crawl

Throughout the year – Planting, Trail Work, Managing Invasive Weeds – Purchased and planted additional seeds and plants for the Pollinator Meadow.  Trail work included both trail expansion, repairs and improvements.  Invasive removal – whenever possible!

We hope you will help us reach our 2019 goal of $2,000 – here’s how you can help:
