Join us at SWNP’s Pollinator Meadow to weed out giant ragweed & Johnson grass.
Please bring gloves, hand clippers, hoe or small digging tool. Water, sunscreen & bug spray may also be a good idea.
The weather forecast looks OK for now, but notification will be posted here if the event is rescheduled due to severe weather alert or steady rain.
Is “tenting” not for you? How about “glamping” in a classic, vintage-style teardrop camper?! GROW volunteer and outdoorswoman, Diane Pierce, will share tips and tricks she’s learned throughout her journey with a teardrop camper. “It’s about getting up and out in a teardrop camper: about camper history, selection, places to go, how to do it alone, and safety and planning.. I took a solo trip this last August and September…5 weeks, 6000 miles, and 10 states. I hike, bird watch, set up game/trail cameras, observe nature, and appreciate peace and quiet!” Diane will talk about trailer selection, safety procedures, operation, equipment, camping options, and group and individual activities at our August program.
Parking is available in the front of the building, accessed from Ron McAndrew Drive
The program is free and open to the public.
